As that scene began to wane, the Jazz Funk room at Nottingham Palais (then Rock City)called, and itwas there that his love for all Soul music was born.In years since, then Andy has developed a true passion for the big tunes, the rare tunes and the soon to be big tunes with a variety of radio shows and live gigs. After serving an apprenticeship supporting Djs such as Colin Curtis, Andy quickly established himself as a dance floor friendly DJ which has allowed him to DJ all over the UK and parts of Europe, and put him on the line up of many prestigious events, such as Margate Soul Festival, Blackpool SoulWeekend, Summer Breeze Corfu, Northern Soul Algarve, Bridlington Soul Weekender and Costa Del Soul, Spain. Residencies at Jazz Funk and Boogie nights at Long Eaton in Derbyshire and Nu/Neo Soul events such as Luv 2 Groove in Sheffield provide a great outlet for Andy’s passion. Always wanting to innovate and break new tunes he has been responsible for taking several tracks from promo to floorfillers. As a radio presenter, Andy has over 25 years’ experience both on commercial and Soul music stations.“This station and show will allow me to pay tribute to the music and people that have given me so much pleasure”
