Growing up in the early 80s, my ears were tuned to the sounds of soul, funk, disco, and the raw energy of electro—thanks to legends like Mike Allen lighting up the airwaves. Breakdancing was my first step into the culture, and the journey through hip hop and rare groove set the tone for what would become a lifelong passion.
The 80s laid the foundation for everything: ground-breaking music, cultural shifts, and the rise of genres that would go on to shape the world. I started DJing at 14, spinning at parties, learning the craft, and feeling the power of moving a crowd. As house music emerged towards the end of the decade, I naturally gravitated to the decks in clubs across London—places like The Wag Club, Gass Club, Club Koo and many more.
By 1988, I was on pirate radio, sharing the music that shaped me. That fire still burns—I’m still on the airwaves today.
Music is more than a soundtrack—it’s a journey. A complex, soulful journey. It’s my life, my passion, and my gift to you.
