From a young age Essex born DJ & Producer Chris Clark’s (AKA Clarkson) love for music was inspired by his grandparents Disco and Motown records.
Inspired by events such as Glitterbox and his love for Disco, he was soon bringing his music to various NightClubs, Festivals and Events (Thirty3hz, Roof Garden, Orange Yard, Colours, POW Brixton, Dream Valley, Love Sensation, Mi Casa Es Tu Casa, Forever54, Oh So Sexy and many more ) alongside names such as Lenny Fontana, Moodena, Derrick McKenzie, Jet Boot Jack, Mark Brickman, Yam Who?, and Katie Goodman to name just a few.
Clarkson’s first step into radio came with a weekly show ‘Disco Lovin’ on House Music Radio which was followed by a move to DAB Radio with BKR and then Unity DAB.
A natural step, Clarkson’s love for music took him into production and he began producing his own remixes of Disco classics. His productions took him to release tracks with Mango Sounds and more recently he achieved his production goal of having his track ‘Dancin’ released by Disco label Tropical Disco Records. Clarkson has more releases lined up for 2023.
Wanting to share his music to more people he founded DiscNoTheque with his equally Disco loving partner Sarah Violet, hosting Disco events across London and Hertfordshire. 2023 sees the event take residency at the iconic Q Nightclub (Formerly McQueens) in Shoreditch for a monthly party.
