I'm Docta D, a DJ, Breaker, Popper, MC & A Funk Surgery Radio presenter playing FUNK, SOUL, HIP HOP, ELECTRO, R&B, NEO SOUL, SOULFUL HOUSE, JAZZ & anything that sounds good to play for you on the radio or @ all events.
Previously signed to major label Sony Records/Columbia (CBS)with our own independent label “Unity Records” , We (MC Steel & I) as the “Subsonic Two” released 3 singles, 2 video's, 1 album with numerous collaborations, (2 of my favourites being Gangstarr & the Jungle Brothers) played with Third Bass on a UK mini tour & a full national tour with Salt and Pepa with an incredible band from Nottingham & Sheffield, some proud moments were doing the John Peel Show (BBC Radio 1), Dancedaze on Channel 4 & being one of the first presenters on the first pirate radio in Nottingham starting at 21:00 on Heatwave Radio.
An accomplished DJ - doing events all over the UK and Europe - Live-streaming “The Funk Surgery Show” across social media for over ten years & I was an international DJ/dance coach (Turin, Florence in italy, 1984') I've travelled & spread the word & music wherever i go & will continue 2 do so as long as i can hear the FUNK, there's more but hope U enjoy the music & have a great time listening to Streetsounds Radio.
