Jane Ewles

My love of all things soul and disco started in the 70s, growing up listening to the sounds of Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder.  Around 1986, I joined a record club called 'Out of the Past Records' who would send me monthly mixed rare groove tapes, as well as a vinyl selection of their choice, thus my love of rare groove was born!  During the 80s and 90s, you would always find me dancing to soul and funk at Flicks/Zens, Dartford.  Fast forward to the present day, I still love to indulge my passion for music, spending hours online looking for that illusive 'new' old track and have been called 'the bankrupter' in my music groups as I often post those very rare tracks that everyone wants to own but can't afford! I still love dancing, with my signature move being arms in the air, hence my nickname 'Stretch Armstrong'. I hope you can join me for my monthly 'Overdose of Soul' on Mondays, 11pm-1am (UK time), as I treat you to an audible banquet of tunes, with a bit of chat along the way too.

Our message is in the music, we are one family under a groove! Street Sounds has had vinyl running through its veins since 1982.
