Jason Gray has had a diverse and evolving journey through the music scene, starting with soul, funk, and rare groove in East London in the mid-80s, and transitioning into House music during the '90s. His involvement with pirate radio stations and a brief residency at Club Yo! speaks to his deep connection to the underground music culture of the time. After taking a break from DJing in the early 2000s for personal reasons, he reignited his passion for music in 2019 by hosting shows on an online radio station, where he became known for his Friday night and Saturday lunchtime House shows.
However, Jason's love for soul music remained at the heart of his journey. When the opportunity to join Street Sounds Radio arose, he was eager to return to his roots, combining his knowledge and passion for a broad range of genres—soul, Motown, disco, funk, rare groove, reggae, 90s music, and contemporary soul-inspired sounds.
