The Cool Notes
The Cool-Notes, from South London, started their career back in the mid 1970s originally as a 7 piece band consisting of 2 girls and 5 guys. Their early success came in the form of a reggae band & became one of the major forces in the British Lovers Rock scene. It was in 1983 the band switched music style and became a Soul band and continued making hits: ‘I Forgot’ – ‘You’re Never Too young’ – ‘Spend The Night’ – ‘In your Car’ to name but a few. Currently the band consists of the two original members from the hit days - Stephen McIntosh and Heather Harewood and have recently been joined by Joe Francis. To date, Heather, Steve and Joe (OBJ) are in the studio recording a brand new album for the Cool-Notes and is planned for release next year April 2021.
Our message is in the music, we are one family under a groove! Street Sounds has had vinyl running through its veins since 1982.
