Chas Summers has over 30 years’ experience as a DJ covering genres all across the music spectrum, with 10-year residencies at the original Cheers Bar, Bar Rumba and Strawberry Moons in London. Although Chas is multi-faceted, his true love has always been classic Soul, Jazz, Funk, Disco & Boogie from the 70's & 80's.

Chas grew up in the 80’s listening to pirate radio stations such as Horizon, JFM, Solar, Trax FM, Starpoint, LWR, & Invicta. This led to him becoming obsessed with collecting vinyls from Blue Bird Records in Edgware & Record Centre in Rayners Lane.

He has always been fascinated by the 'mix' and listened intently to the likes of Les Adams & Froggy The Mixmaster. Fast forward to the present, Chas now creates his own remixes (or re-visits as he likes to call them), where he blends classic songs from the 80s.

You'll find Chas on the Street Sounds Radio playing some exclusives as well as a mixture of classic & contemporary soul, funk & boogie every Saturday from 6pm-8pm. You wouldn’t want to miss a single second of The Street Sounds Throwback Show!
