Paul Gee

Paul Gee’s passion for DJing began during his school years in the 1970s, when he became a regular on the school radio station alongside a group of friends. Among them was Steve Wright, who would later go on to become one of Britain’s best-known radio presenters.
Paul developed many of his DJ skills while working as a barman at the legendary Zero 6 nightclub in the late ’70s, often helping out the resident DJ. Years later, his career came full circle when he became the Licensee and Manager of the club. During this period, he also DJed at the original Roller City in Aviation Way.
Throughout his career, Paul has entertained audiences at countless weddings, clubs and live events. He has also hosted several In The Park concerts at Garon Park in Southend, working alongside many familiar names from the world of entertainment, including Chas & Dave, Mike Read, Jim Davidson and Tony Blackburn.
At the height of the karaoke boom, Paul became heavily involved in selling, installing and promoting karaoke systems. This opened another chapter in his career and strengthened his long-standing passion for music and entertainment.
Today, Paul is a resident DJ at the Park Inn Palace Hotel by Radisson in Southend, where his role extends well beyond the DJ booth. He manages conference AV equipment, helps organise weddings and oversees the music throughout the hotel bar.
When he’s not at the Park Inn, Paul can also be found at Rolla City, the roller-skating rink in Rochford.
Charity and community work have always been important to Paul. He has supported organisations and events including Rotary Club Kidz Out at Central Park, Dagenham, and together with his wife runs Freedom, a successful nightclub for people with disabilities, held at CoCo’s in Southend.
